So here’s question 1. This question helped me move into personal training. I remember doing a HIIT session with my flat mates Denise and Nikki and telling them my dream job would be to be a personal trainer. I was stuck and needed a major paradigm shift if I was ever going to pursue this dream…
However this was not the path I was meant to take. I mean I had studied commerce to go in and try to take over the corporate world right? Make good money that way. Surely there’s no way to make a good living from training people? This was a fear.
One unhappy day on my way into work in a business, I told my dad I’m handing in my notice. Surprised by how supportive he was, that was where my path to health coaching really began and I went and got all the relevant experience.
I dropped my fear about not making any money. I knew that if I had all the money in the world I would want to train and help people. I wanted and still want to become the best person and trainer I can be.
So I went for it, hell for leather. Taking sessions throughout the day beginning at 08.00 and sometimes finishing at 21.00 in the gym.
I soon learned I could turn my passion into a living – how lucky am I? Got lots of help from wonderful clients and people along the way.
This isn’t the only point because realistically we can’t all just pack in our jobs. But at least asking this question will bring to light your passions and then you can go about making the time for them. These are the activities that bring you to life.
