Wednesday’s Workplace Wisdom
Calculating thrust – not that – take your mind out of the gutter…
What I mean here is how do you perceive the rate of effort to do certain tasks? And how do you manage your energy levels to take on such tasks?
Always attempt to keep two meetings requiring high levels of alert with a sufficient break in between so you can be switched on in both and don’t burn out.
Think about tasks that feel like they take an age e.g. filling time sheets and filing tax returns. Give these tasks the respect they deserve by chipping away at them on a daily basis rather than leaving them all to one giant job that keeps you up all night.
Make your energy levels a priority. You’ll have so much more to give to the world and will give up on the heroic all nighter work concept which is never worth it given the energy set back…
